Leslie has always been drawn to the acapella gospel and '60's music his father and uncle's sang when growing up. Those Christian soulful roots shaped who he is as a person, and continue to influence his music today. Leslie has admired the following artists and songwriters in his musical journey: Ben Harper, Zac Brown, Seal, Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Bob Marley, Bunny Ruggs, Billy Joel & Elton John.
